Identifying Parameters in Parabolic

چکیده
In this paper, we investigate the nite element method for numerically identifying physical parameters in parabolic initial-boundary value problems. The identifying problem is rst formulated as a constrained minimization problem using the output least squares approach with the H 1-regularization or BV-regularization. Then a simple nite element method is used to approximate the constrained minimization problem and the convergence of the approximation is shown for both regularizations. The discrete constrained problem can be reduced to a sequence of unconstrained minimization problems. Numerical experiments are presented to show the eeciency of the proposed method, even for identifying highly discontinuous and oscillated parameters.

An inverse problem of identifying the coefficient of semilinear parabolic equation
In this paper, a variational iteration method (VIM), which is a well-known method for solving nonlinear equations, has been employed to solve an inverse parabolic partial differential equation. Inverse problems in partial differential equations can be used to model many real problems in engineering and other physical sciences. The VIM is to construct correction functional using general Lagr...

Abstract. In this paper, we investigate the numerical identifications of physical parameters in parabolic initial-boundary value problems. The identifying problem is first formulated as a constrained minimization one using the output least squares approach with the H 1-regularization or BV -regularization. Then a simple finite element method is used to approximate the constrained minimization p...
متن کاملSolving the inverse problem of determining an unknown control parameter in a semilinear parabolic equation
The inverse problem of identifying an unknown source control param- eter in a semilinear parabolic equation under an integral overdetermina- tion condition is considered. The series pattern solution of the proposed problem is obtained by using the weighted homotopy analysis method (WHAM). A description of the method for solving the problem and nding the unknown parameter is derived. Finally, tw...
متن کاملExergy Optimization Applied to Linear Parabolic
A new method of optimization on linear parabolic solar collectors using exergy analysis is presented. A comprehensive mathematical modeling of thermal and optical performance is simulated and geometrical and thermodynamic parameters were assumed as optimization variables. By applying a derived expression for exergy efficiency, exergy losses were generated and the optimum design and operating co...
متن کاملNumerical analysis of performance of solar parabolic trough collector with Cu-Water nanofluid
In the present work the effect of Cu-Water nanofluid, as heat transfer fluid, on the performance of a parabolic solar collector was studied numerically. The temperature field, thermal efficiency, mean-outlet temperatures have been evaluated and compared for the conventional parabolic collectors and nanofluid based collectors. Further, the effect of various parameters such as fluid velocity, vol...
